except i want to add that if it is your name on the title, and you do have a written agreement for the loan installments you owe him, he could take you to small claims court to get either the money you owe him, or maybe the car back.

Ok my name is on the title and he is listed as a lein holder not a owner my nzmes on the bill of sales registartion i do have a written statement that says i will pay him back but i also have verbal and onlien communtications with him stating that he would accept payemtns being late....the other problem is the only when we split up the only way he woudl let me leave is if i was to sign that aggreement i didnt agree to it but i felt as if i had no choice but to sign it

Based on that information the only thing you can do is hide the car. Emails and verbal communication will not hold up in court because they can easily be changed.
