How many months can one be in default on a car loan without facing repossion? Also, if a person is able to hide the car from the repo man for an extended period, say 6 months or more, what ultimately happens? Does the lender just write if off and stop pursuing repossession? Are criminal car theft charges filed against the borrower? |

This depends on the laws in your state. You do have rights educate yourself on your State. Make no mistake. The Repo man will find you.
