How long after a private repossession can the vehicle be sold? I held a note as an individual and the contract has been breeched. Borrwer filed bankruptcy and it has been discharged. She did reaffirm the debt but is 16 days late. I am in the state of Ohio. Can I repossess and how long after repossession can I sell vehicle? Also, any idea on where to get the post repo notice letter? |

I would really like to know the answer of this too.
I am selling a car to a girlfriend. She has not paid anything since August. She has been jerking me around. I have a generous nature & she knows it, so she is taking advantage of me. I have been convinced by another GF that I should repossess it.
I have the title (In my name) I have her signed payment agreement & an extra set of keys.
She has not honored her agreement for the most part. Payments are not only short but very erratic & I have to chase her down for the payments. She has more issues than TV Guide & frankly I am getting sick of being the one left out. Her lack of payment has caused a late payment of my own financed vehicle.
I also know the vehicle has been damaged & vandalized since her possession.
Can I just go & seize the car? Can I sue her for damages?
If she offers to pay me what she owes can I opt not to agree & keep the car?
