Deficiency repayment after repossession of automobile I live in MO and am considering surrendering my car. I expect the deficiency will be around $10,000.00. If I make payments towards the deficiency can the finance company still garnish my wages? Obviously I am having trouble paying the current car payment and would need to reduce what I would pay monthly. |

Answer...They will not garnish your wages as long as you make payments. The minute you default, they can come anbd file for wages garnishment.
