Can a company repo your car if you've already made a partial payment of more than half the note? My payment was due on May 15th and I made a partial payment of more than half of my car note, can he have my car repo'd on May 22nd it's not even two weeks late! I did agree to pay on the 15th of every month for 3 months but there is no contract signed saying if the paYMENT IS NOT PAID ON THE 15TH I HAVE SO MANY DAYS AS A GRACE PERIOD BEFORE REPOSSESSION OCCURS. HOW MANY DAYS DO i HAVE TO MAKE THE FULL PAYMENT BEFORE THEY CAN REPO IT? |

You will have to contact your lender, and find out the terms and conditions of your contract.
The best way to keep your car is to stay in touch with the lender, and keep them informed of your situation.
They want to lose no more than you do, and auctioning the vehicle, and trying to collect on the remaining balance will cost them more than having you pay the interest on the loan.

This was an in-house deal I almost paid it off I just broke the rest of the balance doun in 3 months, I agreed to have it pay it off in 3 months but there is no lender contract or anything it was more like a personal buy. No banks or creditors are involved. What are my chances on getting repo'd its not a partial payment was maide I only owe him a small amount, and it's not two weeks late yet?

If there is nothing in a contract about repossession, it falls to the rules of your particular state on if he is required to give you notice or not.
If you are really that worried, lock it up in a garage, or behind a fence, or even chain it to a tree. Repo men cannot break the law to get a vehicle.
Pay it off ASAP.
