They control the note but all they can force you to do is let them repo it ==their point is if you sell the car they stand to get most of their money ===if they repo it they send it to auction and will only get a fraction of their money but what is best for you =-=if you sell it they will still hold you libal for the balance if it goes to auction you are still held responsible for the balance the difference to you is several thousand dollars plus if you sell it the repo wont exist to put on your credit only late payments in a way they are doing you a favor to come out without to much damage to your credit ===personaly sell it as fast as you can if you have to take a loss sue the one you signed for and never sign for anyone [ sorry i just had to put that in] idid it for my sister and it cost me 40000.00 ===sell it quick and good luck
